San Joaquin Valley Farmer Ag Network

The San Joaquin Valley Farmer Ag Network was created as a community-driven solution to connect, support, and empower the people at the heart of this movement. By placing tools directly in the hands of farmers, the network facilitates real-time diagnostics, collaborative research, and the free exchange of local knowledge—without the burden of costly outside consultants.

Rooted in the principle of “By Farmers, For Farmers,” the network ensures that strategies are grounded in real-world experience and shaped by those working the land every day. Through peer mentoring, hands-on learning, and open-source data, the platform fosters a self-sustaining system where knowledge flows across the community, farmer to farmer, rather than from the top down. This collective approach not only strengthens individual operations but builds a stronger, more unified agricultural future for the entire San Joaquin Valley.

The SJV Farmer Ag Network is a fiscally-sponsored project of SIERRA RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT. Sierra RCD has a mission to take available technical, financial, and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them at the local level, to meet the present and future natural resource needs of the local land user.
