California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF)
CCOF is advancing organic by supporting people and communities who care for the land. The CCOF Foundation unites the organic community to offer intentional education, financial support, and growth opportunities for organic professionals. We empower organic farmers to grow organic agriculture, creating a more prosperous, resilient world through:
- Resources for farmers transitioning to organic,
- Organic-focused trainings and workshops, and
- Financial assistance for organic producers.
Funding supports the Organic Transition Program which partners with the Association of Land-based Agriculture (ALBA), California Farmlink, American Farmland Trust and Daily Harvest to provide wrap-around support for socially disadvantaged farmers who are expanding organic acreage on their farms. This four-year program will provide participants with funding to cover the three-year transition period, technical assistance, a peer- to-peer network, complete with farmer mentors and access to supply chains throughout the transition.
