Grant Reporting

The #NoRegrets team is in a constant search for the grant reporting format that facilitates our team's deep understanding for the substance and heart of your work so that we can be the best possible accomplices in leveraging our support within our funder networks to bring more enthusiasm and financial resources to your organizations. We acknowledge that reporting takes valuable time away from "doing", and we know that a "one-size-fits-all" approach doesn't serve any of us. As such, we are offering a "reporting menu" of options to choose from below.

No matter which option you choose, we will ask your permission to share this material on our #NoRegrets website so that other funders can get a sense for your work. Or, if you prefer, we can just share the materials internally with our #NoRegrets Team (and NOT more widely with the world).

-- OPTION #1: Video Report --

The video reports have proven to be a very effective way for our team to connect with you and your work on a personal level; they also make it easy for us to share your ideas with other funders in our network.  PLEASE REST ASSURED: we are NOT asking for a highly produced cinematic masterpiece! In fact, some of our past favorites have been simple, 2-4 minute selfies recorded with a cell phone!  And if you just can't be dissuaded from the cinematic masterpiece because it has uses beyond this specific reporting function, then go for it.

Regardless, the important thing is that you give us a quick overview of your organization, specific accomplishments in the last year, and where you are headed in the coming year.  Including favorite anecdotes and/or unexpected (magical) outcomes is always helpful.

Technical Info:

  • Quality: No need to hire a videographer/film editor (unless you have plans to use the video for other purposes.) A cell phone or laptop selfie video is fine!
  • Tips: Use a steady hand, tripod, or stabilize your phone against books, etc.
  • Sound: Good audio helps us to hear you clearly [be aware of background noises or wind if outdoors.]
  • Aspect: Please use a horizontal frame if you can.
  • File size: Under 500 MB
  • File type: .MP4 or .MOV preferred
  • Length: 2-5 min max, brevity is encouraged!
  • Music/fair use: If using music or any other borrowed content, please review Vimeo’s fair use policies to avoid any copyright issues
  • Where these will appear: NRI’s Vimeo page, NRI portfolio webpage (your individual page), NRI social media and newsletters (unless you request us to keep the video internally to the NRI team!)

Submit Your Video:

Please upload your video below (you can drag and drop the file into the box or upload the file manually). If you have any issues, please contact megan@paicinesranch.com.

> NAMING YOUR VIDEO FILE: Please make sure to include your organization name in the file name. Please also include the word SHARE or NOT_SHARE in your file name when you upload your video, so that we have clear instructions on what we can/should push out into the world, and what should be kept for internal review by our #NoRegrets Team only.

> PLEASE NOTE: Our system currently does NOT allow us to send you a confirmation of your video submission but if you see the GREEN CHECKMARK you are all set! Rest assured, we will absolutely be in touch if there is any issue with your submission or if we have not received it.

-- OPTION #2: Zoom Video Interview with Avery --

Do you HATE making us a video report? It's ok to be honest! We totally get it, so we are continuing to experiment with a NEW alternative video format this year. Join Avery in a recorded Zoom interview to talk about what's sparking JOY in your work this past year. If this sounds appealing - write to Avery and reserve a spot (grants.noregrets@gmail.com)! We will set aside time to do 5 of these video interviews. Spots will be given out on a first come first serve basis!

-- OPTION #3: Let's Get Creative --

Have you produced anything in the last year that you would like to share in lieu of a video? Perhaps some other kind of promotional piece? An article that was written by you/ about you? A video clip of a speaker that you hosted? A presentation or TedTalk that you gave? A recent Instagram/Facebook reel? A blog post? A PDF collection of photos (perhaps 5-10?) with captions that capture the essence of your last year? Help us think creatively about something you ALREADY HAVE, that will serve the same goal as the video outlined above.
