Niche Meat Processor Assistance Network
The Niche Meat Processor Assistance Network (NMPAN) is a university Extension-based community of practice of people and organizations helping small meat processors thrive by growing our shared wealth of information and innovation. Members include meat processors, producers, brands, suppliers, universities, agencies, and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). It is a peer learning community, a national information hub, and a valued source of targeted applied research and direct technical assistance.
Funding allows NMPAN to continue to provide extensive support to the small and niche meat processing sector, including start-ups and existing businesses. Funds are also used to support the expansion of the Western Meat School short course into a permanent, self-paced online course that is accessible to a wider audience.
