The Madera/Chowchilla Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) is committed to safeguarding the natural resources of Madera County. Its mission focuses on sustainable land management, conservation practices, and community education to ensure the long-term health of our environment. The district covers over 552,000 acres, including the lower elevations of the Sierra Nevada and the San Joaquin Valley floor.
