Jubilee Justice
“Jubilee Justice is a movement to end rural racism by creating new systems to serve Black agricultural communities. We believe that restoring Afro-indigenous ways of farming and community traditions leads to a regenerative future for people and the planet. Our work speaks to the intersection of land, race, money and spirit. Through equitable agriculture and reparative capital we partner with rural black farming communities to create a more just and sustainable way of life. And we use transformative learning experiences to incite the consciousness required for long-term systemic change.”
Funding purpose: Support the cost of building a solar-powered rice mill in Louisiana owned by a cooperative of BIPOC farmers.
