Sustainable Conservation

Sustainable Conservation advances the collaborative stewardship of California’s land, air, and water for the benefit of nature and people.

Funding purpose: Supports an enabling environment for California growers to farm in ways that improve soils’ inherent functions of infiltration, soil water retention, and nutrient cycling. Funds are used to support increased collaboration and information-sharing among researchers, technical assistance providers, farmers, policy-makers, supply chains, and others to inform decision-making relevant for California’s changing climate and agriculture.
