Minnow supports the success of California’s farmers of color within the broader frame of realizing sovereignty for California’s indigenous communities.

Funding supports farmers of color in securing stable, affordable land tenure while returning land under indigenous governance in California. Funds are used to support the Minnow team’s multi-disciplinary approach that includes legal and technical assistance to clients, shifting cultural narratives, political leadership, and developing a land acquisition fund.
