Kitchen Table Advisors (KTA)

Kitchen Table Advisors (KTA) is a nonprofit supporting the long-term economic viability of small sustainable farmers and ranchers in Northern and Central California. We work at both the individual and institutional levels through two programs that prioritize folks from marginalized communities. Our 1:1, bilingual Business Advising program offers personalized support to farmers and ranchers while our Ecosystem Building program activates and supports collaborative projects that create more equitable access to land, capital, and markets. Guiding KTA’s work is our vision for a more equitable and resilient farmer and rancher-led food system.

Funding purpose: Supports KTA’s long-term collective vision: regenerative farmers and ranchers with thriving livelihoods in community based economies with an equitable distribution of power and resources. In the next 5 years, KTA will 1) deepen their core work providing in-depth, bilingual 1-on-1 business advising to farmers and ranchers, and 2) leverage their knowledge, data and experience to experiment with and collaborate on systems change work that can shape and influence institutions around land, distribution and capital to work better for farmers.
