Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC)

Founded in 1987, the Intertribal Agriculture Council’s (IAC) mission is to pursue and promote the conservation, development, and use of the agricultural resources of the Native American Indian and Native Alaskan Tribes. As a member organization, IAC provides a forum for Tribes and individual producers to elevate issues relevant to improving the management of Indian agricultural resources and promoting change in federal and Tribal policies. At the heart of IAC’s mission is strengthening the productivity of Tribal agricultural resources through initiatives that support producer training and development, expand market opportunities, reduce financial risk, and preserve and grow trust lands.

Funding purpose: General operating support to increase the organization’s administrative capacity, which includes staffing, tools, travel, and systems to support program staff in their direct mission work.
