Karla manages the accounting for Cienega Capital, LLC and Globetrotter Foundation as well as assisting with investment direction for these entities and grant decisions as a member of the #NoRegrets grant-making committee. She is also Secretary & Treasurer of the Paicines Ranch Learning Center. After completing her BS in Business at Santa Clara University and spending just enough time in public accounting to earn CPA licensure, Karla spent 10 years in various financial roles for venture-funded high-tech start-up Packet Design, Inc., ultimately serving as the Director of Finance.  She was later adopted into the Paicines Ranch team, where she rolled up her sleeves and learned the basics of Holistic Financial Management & Planning and has received priceless education in regenerative agriculture by the ranch superstars as well as learning the ropes of lending from Esther.  When she’s not digging through legal texts and IRS Code, Karla enjoys time with her husband Chris, daughters Kelani and Lahela, and family service dogs Lisa and Draco.
