The Southwest Grassfed Livestock Alliance, SWGLA (pronounced ‘swig-la’) is a non-profit alliance of ranchers, farmers, consumers, chefs, land managers, conservationists, and researchers who work together to support local grassfed livestock products. Through public outreach, producer support, applied research, education and cooperation they work to improve ecological, social, animal and human health.
SWGLA seeks funding to expand their programming and technical assistance offerings. Funds will be used for their producer-focused Business Training webinar and workshop series and for a new chef-focused butchery training series. Funds will also be used to cover the cost of additional grant writing for future programing and projects.
