The Mosca-Hooper Conservation District includes the vast majority of Alamosa County in Colorado covering 462,000 acres. Their mission to provide leadership in natural resource management for the betterment of all present and future residents of the district through education and example.
Funding has supported their Aquifer Recovery to conduct a year-long Consensus Building Process addressing the groundwater conflict in the San Luis Valley, and the Future of Agriculture in the San Luis Valley project to support their ongoing fungal-rich compost and compost extract use evaluation and analysis with agricultural landowners.
