Since 1999, California FarmLink has supported farmers throughout the state, with particular focus on the Central Coast, Central Valley, and North Coast regions. Their programs are organized around two basic functions: lending, and providing education and technical assistance to farmers seeking secure land tenure and fair credit.
Grant funding from the Globetrotter Foundation helped develop FarmLink’s new Wealth Building and Equity on Conservation Lands initiatives. Funds have been used to develop an integrated approach to wealth creation that harnesses FarmLink’s core tools in lending, land access and business education, providings opportunity for growth particularly among small farm entrepreneurs of color.
