“The California Climate and Agriculture Network (CalCAN) is a statewide coalition that advances state and federal policy to catalyze the powerful climate solutions offered by sustainable and organic agriculture. We use policy to move California agriculture towards a system that is increasingly resilient and just.”
CalCAN advances policy to encourage innovation and deliver the resources needed to meaningfully scale up agricultural practices that safeguard our food supply, keep family farmers on the land, and improve working and living conditions for farmworkers and the rural poor. Funds are used to support a wide range of policy campaigns and to engage, educate and mobilize farmers and other agriculture experts and stakeholders.
